After spending four years in engineering school I began to feel unfulfilled with my career choice and decided it was time to shift gears, pursuing an interest in health and fitness. I spent two years studying exercise science at Western Michigan University and then went on to get my bodywork diploma from The New School for Massage in Chicago. Although a background in engineering seems completely unrelated, it helped lay the foundation for me to see the body as a complex system of biological levers and pulleys that can be manipulated to bring the body into alignment.
I have now been practicing massage therapy for about three years and have gained much experience from working at one of Portland's top spas, while also taking many hours of continuing education. My fascination with anatomy and kinesiology will allow my knowledge and skill set to grow for many years to come.
